Do you have chest binders that you no longer wear/need, that you have no idea what to do with? DONATE THEM TO TRANSGENDER YOUTH IN NEED.
See that red number? That’s how many ftm transgender/non-gender conforming youth there are waiting for a chest binder. While a chest binder may seem like a simple thing, it is actually something that can save somebody’s life. Getting a binder is all some need to find comfort away from the dysphoria that way too often leads to suicide. Please, if you have any binders that you do not wear, and don’t know what to do with them, I strongly encourage you to donate them to In a Bind. In a Bind is an amazing organization, which provides free binders to youth who are in great need of them (not just transgender people either, any youth who experience dysphoria or body image issues by not being able to bind their chest), but either cannot ask because of unaccepting parents, or cannot afford one. In a Bind is in constant need of many sizes. Every binder donation changes a person’s life. Please, instead of keeping that binder sitting in the back of a drawer, donate it. It could literally save a life.
Even if you don’t have any spare binders to give, please reblog so that those who might have a binder or two they don’t need can donate and start bringing that number down and give more of those that are on that extremely long waiting list closer to getting a life saving opportunity.
